Reflection: Truth That Can Restore

Consider what makes honest accountability difficult and what can make it constructive.

Who has earned enough of your trust to challenge you honestly? How do you tend to react when someone names a mistake you would rather hide? What distinguishes a caring confrontation from an attempt to shame someone? What truth do you need to admit without minimizing or blaming someone else? What action would show that your apology is leading to a real change? How can you make it safer for people close to you to speak honestly?
