Great Lives Workbook

Reflection: Making Room at the Table

Explore how welcome and generosity can give someone a sense of dignity and belonging.

When have you been welcomed by someone when you expected to be judged?Who might be waiting for an invitation into a community you are part of?How can you honor a promise that has become inconvenient? What assumptions do you make about people whose abilities or circumstances differ from yours? What does generosity look like when repayment is unlikely? What practical act of welcome could you offer someone this week?
